Live painting

My muralist activity also includes live painting, which consists in painting in front of an audience. I'm used to paint on legal walls in cities i'm visiting so having people passing by and giving ther opinion to me is part of my painting process. I like to have this exchange in more organized events such as festivals, seminars or private parties.
There are different advantages with live painting. Firstly, it's an interesting happening during any event and the mural feels more alive when it's painted in front of you instead of just having a finished piece to observe. Being able to talk with the audience allows viewers to see every part of my creative process and this proximity with the artist is something we see no where else, except in the street.

SPEED Festival 2024

Saint-Paul du Bois, Août 2024
A l'occasion de la 4ème du Speed Festival, événement musical rassemblant plus de 3000 festivaliers sur 2 jours, j'ai réalisé un live painting sur la journée du samedi au coeur du site.
L'oeuvre, était la fusion entre la direction artistique du festival et mon travail, intégrant les lunettes présentes sur l'affiche de 2024 au personnage inspiré des visuels de soirées techno, musique majoritairement présente dans la programmation du festival.
La peinture sur cellophane a permis d'installer facilement l'oeuvre au centre du festival tout en ancrant son caractère éphémère, le visuel étant construit spécialement pour cette édition.
Une rareté qui a encouragé les festivaliers à en profiter au maximum le temps de la soirée, beaucoup se prenant en photo devant.
Festival SPOT 2024

Nantes, June 2024
On June 15th, I painted a mural live for the second year straight at SPOT Festival, an event organized by the city of Nantes to give a chance to young artists to show their talent.
For this edition, I chose to create a mural about the history of the city and its link to water. I painted the statue of Neptune in a female version since this goddess embodies the city of Nantes on the Royale square downtown.
Of course I painted it under the rain, it wouldn't have been funny an other way...
Mythologies (Exhibition)
Rocheservière, April/June 2024
Following my participation to a contest at the Artists festival of Rocheservière in 2023, the organization asked me to come back to create an exhibition about Mythologies in 2024.
I gathered photos of my murals painted all around Europe and presented it with my canvas Determination as the main piece.
The exhibition got conclude with the 2024 edition of the Artists' festival. This time I was among a line up of various artists to show my work and not only the Mythologies exhibition (here you can see some of my custom spraycans).

In April I got selected to the final of a contest for young talents in Nantes organized by the City.

The performance I chose to do was a unique 5 minutes live painting where I finished a canvas called Chronos.

This canvas has several meanings and different ways of looking at it as well, which caught the attention of the jury and the 150 people in the attendance!

Rugby World Cup Fan Zone

Le Kraken de 20 000 lieues sous les mers avec un ballon à la place de la tête a été le premier à décorer la fan zone.
Suivi par un ballon-globe inspiré du Tour du monde en 80 jours
Et enfin par un portrait de Jules Verne habité par ses inventions.
Rocheservière Artists Fest

Rocheservière, May 2023
Rocheservière Artists Fest gives the opportunity to amateur and professional artists to paint a canvas in the town's streets during one week end.
I took part to it for the first time during the 2023 edition.
My painting "Determination" won the "Promising" award.

Every year, the city of Nantes organizes a festival to give its young talents and opportunity to show what they do best.
I was selected to do a custom spraycans exhibition while live painting a mural during the 2023 edition.
It was an opportunity for me to share with the audience while I was painting. Here with Johanna Rolland, Nantes mayor.
